AI for Sustainable Fisheries: EVERYFISH at Open Doors ASSIST 2025
At ASSIST Software, we are dedicated to leveraging the power of AI to create a meaningful impact across various industries. The EVERYFISH project exemplifies this approach by utilizing advanced AI technologies to revolutionize the European fishing sector. Through AI-powered solutions, EVERYFISH enhances catch monitoring, species identification, and sustainable fisheries management, enabling more efficient, accurate, and environmentally responsible practices.
Given its strong commitment to sustainability and marine ecosystem health, EVERYFISH has been recognized as a UN Ocean Decade Activity contributing to SDG 14: Life Below Water, with a specific focus on Target 14.4, which aims to regulate harvesting and end overfishing effectively. This recognition reflects the substantial progress achieved during the first three years of project implementation. It acknowledges the project’s tangible contributions to sustainable fisheries management, as EVERYFISH enters its final year of activities.
Building on this recognition and the progress achieved so far, we continue to share EVERYFISH’s results and vision with broader audiences actively.
On November 5th, 2025, we had the opportunity to present the project at the Open Doors ASSIST 2025 event held at the University Stefan cel Mare of Suceava, an event focused on AI and robotics innovation. Attendees, including students, researchers, and tech enthusiasts, explored how AI is driving sustainable solutions within EVERYFISH, from automating fish counting to real-time data analysis supporting more intelligent decision-making in the fisheries sector.
By showcasing EVERYFISH in an AI-centered context, we aim to highlight the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in sustainability-driven projects and inspire the next generation of innovators to apply AI for environmental and industrial impact.
We remind you that EveryFish - Digital transition of catch monitoring in European Fisheries - is a project funded by Horizon Europe, specifically under the HORIZON-CL6-2021-FARM2FORK-01-11: Digital transition supporting inspection and control for sustainable fisheries (IA) program, with Grant Agreement ID number 101059892.
